Julie Nims is a proud member of the team at Matt O’Neill Real Estate and feels blessed every day to be surrounded by genuinely good people who also happen to be the most successful and hardest working in the business. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband (Matt), two daughters (Grace and Ella), two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (Loudoun and D.C.), and two Persian cats (Bella and Oscar). Although she’s a native of the Washington, D.C. area and remains a die-hard Redskins and Nationals fan, she couldn’t be happier to call the Charleston area her home.
Julie first developed her love of real estate as a kid, going through the buying and selling process with her parents seven times before finishing college. After attending the College of William and Mary (Go Tribe!), Julie spent six years expanding her knowledge of real estate at an investment/servicing firm that specialized in real property tax liens, gaining expertise in all areas of the business, from acquisitions to asset management to REO disposition.
Although she enjoyed her work in tax lien investment, she wanted a chance to make a difference in people’s lives, so she took a job with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and spent the next five years working on a team that helped the country navigate through the turbulent waters of the recent economic crisis to the calmer waters of the ongoing economic recovery.
After Treasury, Julie wanted to get back to her roots in real estate, but she also wanted a career that allowed her to continue making a positive impact on other people’s lives. What better way to do that than to help people achieve their real estate-related goals, whether those goals are buying a home that perfectly suits their needs or maximizing profit by selling a home for the best price possible? Let Julie help you reach your goals!
